Original plan was to purge and deactivate this account, but I am currently researching it's effectiveness a a piggy back to promote my FineArtAmerica prints account. In my nearly 2 decades of this account existing on deviantART I have never sold a single print, even more I've heard from many who have that any profit is very mini-cue. That being said to promote sales I focus on my FineArtAmerica, however I am researching to see if this lf deviantART can be used as a promotional tool. It all depends on average number of views. If the views are too low and I find it a waste of time I'll just deactivate and move on, if I find it useful I'll return but not as active in the community as I use to be. I have found other mediums to be much more vibrant and reliable than deviantART.

Still miss me here? I see 500 watchers are still even in tact more than 5 years after I left deviantART! I still stop by out of curiosity, but it appears that to me deviantART has only become even less useful.

Meanwhile if you want to see what I've been doing here's the place!

It's been nearly 3 years since any of you have heard from me, and I want to inform you of a spot I moved onto.

Fine Art America

I am wanting to boost my views and sales and I have sold more prints than the 0 I sold in nearly a decade of being active here on dA.

You can find me on Facebook as well.

This is my Instagram handle which is new but rising pretty quickly.

For those of you who miss me here since I decided to ditch this platform in 2016 feel free to follow those pages! The odds of me returning to dA are sadly almost 0, but I am hoping to use the rest of this pages existence to forward to progress to my new pages. Eventhough I left dA I did get my start here as a 15 year old. But the future is now and sadly many much better platforms have surpassed dA.

As for this account it will remain abandoned probably until I et the time to purge images that were not documented as saved then finally deactivated.

I have been on hiatus from DeviantART for 2 years hoping for some notable improvements I login maybe twice a year just to lurk. I am not arriving at a decision that a few years back would have made me very sad, but now not so much. My works will continue. I had this account since I was 15, imagine that as time goes by my needs for an art sharing site exceeded this platform. Lack of audience did play a role too, as it seemed in recent years more of the My Little Pony fanbase seems to be taking over and there are not very many serious photographers, much-less sports action like myself.

It's not happening immediately, there's still images I wanna save with the majority of my gallery secured.

The shutterfly is not yet public, my Fineartamerica is though fineartamerica.com/profiles/jo… and there will soon be an Instagram along with my Facebook. [link] I still wanna keep in touch with my deviantART family though so feel free to re-connect.

I will not be returning to deviantART anywhere in the near future, I logged into this site today and I still see the same issues it had 2 years ago when I left, but my photography has continued on and I am working to establish my shutterfly. That said this account will not be deactivated and if things ever improve in the distant future you may see a revival on here.
