2010 Top 50 railfan deviations and deviants.

Hello Fellow Railfans and welcome to the 2nd annual edition of the TRFN top 50 railfans of the year. In 2010 The-Railfan-Nation added 330 members and made awesome progress not only in growth but in the number of talented artist who have posted in the group. Because the group is so big making this list is a great challenge but also a great honor. So remember if you happen to make #50 in the list keep in mind you still have accomplished something that is really difficult and even if you didn’t make this list don’t be discouraged. While looking through these galleries me and the fellow TRFN staffers involved in this project saw many good deviations with good potential that didn’t make the list. This is a big project where we actually scouted out all of the members of TRFN’s galleries and looked at their most popular rail related deviation. So that means between me and three other staffers mentioned below we all together scouted the galleries of 465 people to obtain these stats. It’s a lot of work for us staffers to do so summing up all these stats isn’t an easy task but it is an example of how deviantART’s official railfan group operates to better re-act in the role of artist public relations. We care about our members to the EXTREME!

All of the following are TRFN members.
Deviations are ranked based on faves.
All featured works were posted in 2010. This refers to date posted not technically date taken/made. (Example: a photo taken in 2009 but posted on deviantART in 2010 can qualify).
Policy violations are not counted in the ranks no matter how many faves they have. All deviations mentioned below passed TRFN inspection. Obviously a policy violation making the top 50 would understandably anger people. So final results are subjected to a final inspection and if something is found to be found in violation of dA policy it is rejected from the line-up. (Example: Stolen material will be treated as though it never existed. So if someone posted a stolen pic that racked up enough faves to make the top 50 it is automatically ejected in inspection.)
