I was able to access the harddrive that recently failed and should be purging it later this week.

Original plan was to purge and deactivate this account, but I am currently researching it's effectiveness a a piggy back to promote my FineArtAmerica prints account. In my nearly 2 decades of this account existing on deviantART I have never sold a single print, even more I've heard from many who have that any profit is very mini-cue. That being said to promote sales I focus on my FineArtAmerica, however I am researching to see if this lf deviantART can be used as a promotional tool. It all depends on average number of views. If the views are too low and I find it a waste of time I'll just deactivate and move on, if I find it useful I'll return but not as active in the community as I use to be. Last days of this account are coming.
I have been on hiatus from DeviantART for 2 years hoping for some notable improvements I login maybe twice a year just to lurk. I am not arriving at a decision that a few years back would have made me very sad, but now not so much. My works will continue. I had this account since I was 15, imagine that as time goes by my needs for an art sharing site exceeded this platform. Lack of audience did play a role too, as it seemed in recent years more of the My Little Pony fanbase seems to be taking over and there are not very many serious photographers, much-less sports action like myself.

I bought a 1 TB drive back in January. I know I'll never use up that much space but I got it anyways. Actually I got 2 of em cause I was having a hell of a time cloning it like I wanted. The cloning machine I got off ebay only partitioned the new drive to the size of the old one which was 500GB. Took forever to wipe the new one but I did and now have all the space on the new one that Im using under one partition. Still have the other one waiting to go just in case. I just think its funny that I figured out how to wipe the new one and start over when a person that fixes computers for a living, which is a guy that my dad has taken our computers to before XP, wasn't able to do so lol.
