No, I am not defecting to Flickr like many. I will however use it to upload images that do good here on deviantART. I do not want an entirely big gallery on there as I have here. This on deviantART is my main because it can serve as a gallery and an archive. Flickr will be a little more formal and condensed but will still not be my flagship site which will remain this one.
I've also been considering returning to rrpicturearchives, problem I have had with it is they just take way too long to load up photos, the site could use some serious updating. It feels like trying to bail out a battleship with a coke can.

Original plan was to purge and deactivate this account, but I am currently researching it's effectiveness a a piggy back to promote my FineArtAmerica prints account. In my nearly 2 decades of this account existing on deviantART I have never sold a single print, even more I've heard from many who have that any profit is very mini-cue. That being said to promote sales I focus on my FineArtAmerica, however I am researching to see if this lf deviantART can be used as a promotional tool. It all depends on average number of views. If the views are too low and I find it a waste of time I'll just deactivate and move on, if I find it useful I'll return but not as active in the community as I use to be. I have been on hiatus from DeviantART for 2 years hoping for some notable improvements I login maybe twice a year just to lurk. I am not arriving at a decision that a few years back would have made me very sad, but now not so much. My works will continue. I had this account since I was 15, imagine that as time goes by my needs for an art sharing site exceeded this platform. Lack of audience did play a role too, as it seemed in recent years more of the My Little Pony fanbase seems to be taking over and there are not very many serious photographers, much-less sports action like myself.

Their size limits are also entirely too restrictive. Modern digital cameras take photos that result in sizable files. My current 14 MPix camera creates image files in the 4MB range.
